Peer Review Process

This section includes detailed explanation about the review procedure and process of the submitted manuscripts for a possible publication in the Journal of International Trade, Logistics and Law.

A) Overview
Articles sent to Journal of International Trade, Logistics and Law are reviewed by two referees.

In case one of the Referee’s recommendations is positive and the other’s is negative, Editorial Board examines both reviews and decides whether to pass the article to a third Referee or return it to its author.

In any case, two positive review results are required for an article to be considered eligible for a publication in the Journal of International Trade, Logistics and Law.

The review process of the Journal of International Trade, Logistics and Law is composed of three stages. Details of these three stages are explained in the following sections.

B) Appointment Stage
All submissions made by the authors are received by the Editor of the Journal of International Trade, Logistics and Law.

The Editor sends a review request e-mail to one of the Referees in the Referee pool who thinks to be suitable for a review process.

The generic content of the Review Request e-mail which will be received by the Editor will be as follows:

Dear Author,

I believe that you would serve as an excellent review of the manuscript, "ABC Paper", which has been submitted to Journal of International Trade, Logistics and Law.

The submission's abstract is inserted below, and I hope that you will consider undertaking this important task for us.

Please log into the journal web site or click on the Submission URL latest by [Current Date+7 Calendar Days] to indicate whether you will undertake the review or not, as well as to access the submission and to record your review and recommendation.

The due date to finalize the review process is [Current Date+ 2 Months]

Journal of International Trade, Logistics and Law

When a Referee receives the Editor’s e-mail for review request, may see the details of the related submission;
  1. By visiting the web site of the Journal of International Trade, Logistics and Law and logging in to his/her account to reach the User section. The article that’s been sent for review will be listed on “Active Submissions” page. Referee may click on the name of the article to proceed to the evaluation page.
  2. By clicking on the Submission URL in the e-mail and getting into the Submission Summary page in the Journal of International Trade, Logistics and Law website.
C) Review Stage
Review Stage includes the steps which should be followed by the Referee to successfully complete the review process. There are four main steps which need to be completed by the Referee. D) Editorial Board Decision
Following the receipt of the Referee reviews from two Referees, the Editor brings the submission and review results to the Editorial Board.

The Editorial Board makes a final decision based on the review results of the two Referees.

In case one of the Referee’s recommendations is positive and the other’s is negative, Editorial Board examines both reviews and decides whether to pass the article to a third Referee or return it to its author.

Following the completion of all reviews, if the submision is approved by the Editorial Board, they are ready to be published.
